Biography

J. T. Roane is assistant professor of African and African American studies in the School of Social Transformation. He’s broadly concerned about matters of geography, ecologies, sexuality and religion in relation to black communities. He currently serves as the senior editor for Black Perspectives, the digital platform of the African American Intellectual History Society (AAIHS).
