Advising appointment scheduling

For Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, and Online Students:

Make an advising appointment

The School of Social Transformation undergraduate advisors are committed to making our students' educational experience the best it can be. We help design educational plans so students from all our majors can connect to co-curricular opportunities and reach their academic goals.

Undergraduates can schedule an appointment with an advisor through our online scheduling system.

Advising appointments are now primarily by phone or Zoom

Scheduled appointments will be conducted primarily by phone or through video conferencing with the Zoom platform. There are limited in-person appointments each week. You will select the format you prefer during the online scheduling process.

Appointments are scheduled no more than two weeks in advance.

If there are no appointments available in the system, it's probably a busy time of year. Check back the next day, when more times may open up.

All appointments are available via Zoom or phone. There are a limited number of in-person appointments on the Tempe campus each week.

Graduate students should visit our graduate advising page.

Our advising offices are located in 777 NOVUS. Students should check in at the front desk of the third floor for in-person appointments.

Meeting with Your Advisor

In your meetings with your advisor, you will identify academic and career goals, create and implement plans and assume responsibility for your education. You should meet with your advisor at least once per semester.

You do not need to make an appointment for routine, administrative questions - though we may ask you to follow up with an appointment if your question warrants a more in-depth conversation. Please email us at SSTAdvising@asu.edu for questions regarding:

  • A quick review of your upcoming classes
  • Overloads (taking more than 18 credit hours in the semester)
  • Course Overrides – with attached professor permission
    • Section full
    • Course pre-requisites
  • Questions that don’t immediately impact your current semester
