Creating positive social change

At the School of Social Transformation we aren’t confined to just one academic discipline. We’re the social justice champions leading our fields, the experts people turn to for answers to tough questions, those doing the work and engaging with the community to make a positive difference.

Our 50 faculty members include White House Champions of Change, Carnegie Fellows, Fulbright Scholars, and Regents, President’s and University professors. But we’re so much more than that. We’re working with 17 community organizations in Maricopa County to improve lives. We’re preserving Civil War-era cabins in Virginia. We’re creating models to improve access to water in Brazil.

We don’t just prepare our students to creatively engage with a global society, we’re working with them for justice and social change.
